An Epic official has addressed earlier remarks in which he said there is “no guarantee” that Unreal Tournament 3 will hit the PC and PS3 in November, saying his statement does not impinge on exclusivity matters.
“We do not know exactly when the game will be completed,” Epic head Mark Rein wrote on the company’s community forums several days ago, adding that it is more important for the game to be done right.
More recently, however, Rein has said the company is still working toward a November release for the PS3 and that there is no known date for the 360.
“”The PS3 console exclusivity is not in doubt. We are shipping the game on the PS3 well before the Xbox 360 version ships,” he said.
The title is slated for a 360 release sometime in early 2008, though it may slide further back depending on delays with the PS3/PC version.
