It’s been yet another eventful day in the world of video games, so let’s jump right in. For starters, Sony announced the latest PS Now lineup for the month of December 2020 (including Horizon Zero Dawn), Nintendo Switch has gotten a new update that focuses on screenshots and videos, Bomberman is becoming free on Stadia, and more. Here’s the video game news you might’ve missed on Dec. 1, 2020.
The Latest Nintendo Switch Update Adds Wireless Photo Transfer
Nintendo Switch has gotten a new update, and thankfully, it adds more than just “system stability.” Most notably, players are now able to transfer photos and videos wirelessly from the system to a smart device, making it easier than ever to transfer your media. To do so, you’ll need to utilize a QR code, but it does work surprisingly well. Other photo transfer options have been added, too, such as the ability to transfer media to a USB device. Check out the patch notes below.

Ubisoft Is Aware of Upgrade Issues from PS4 to PS5 Games and Is Working on a Fix
Many players in the U.K. have been unable to upgrade their physical copies of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion. For some players using a PlayStation 4 disc, the system does not give the prompt to upgrade for free, leading to many headaches for users in that region. Ubisoft has been made aware of the issue and assures the community that it is “working to resolve” the issue, though a specific time frame was not given. If you’re in the U.K. and are having these issues, rest assured that Ubisoft will be fixing it — hopefully soon.
We are aware players in the UK are experiencing issues upgrading physical versions of some Ubisoft games from PS4 to PS5. We're working to resolve this, and can confirm anyone experiencing this issue will still be eligible for their free upgrade. Stay tuned for more information.
