For starters, the hit action adventure Ghost of Tsushima has gotten a new update, August 2020’s PS Plus games feature two exceptional titles, a Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War logo seems to have leaked, and more. Here’s the video game news you might have missed on July 27, 2020.
Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers Effectively Confirmed to Launch in the West
As part of Koei Tecmo’s latest financial presentation, we got confirmation that Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers will be heading westward at some unspecified point, likely this fiscal year. Persona 5 Scramble came to Japan and other parts of Asia earlier this year, but until now, there was no word on whether it would be headed to other regions.
Scramble is a Musou-style action game, falling in line with the likes of Dynasty Warriors and featuring a plot that takes place after the events of Persona 5. It launched for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, making it the closest thing to a Switch version of Persona 5 we’ll likely get.

August 2020 PS Plus Games Announced
Starting on Aug. 4, PS Plus members can download Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered and Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout for free. As its name suggests, Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered features a revamped version of 2009’s beloved campaign from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Fall Guys is making its debut as a PS Plus game, not unlike Rocket League in 2015. It’s a party game, featuring loads of mini-games to enjoy, 60-player online modes, and cooperative challenges. It’s been getting lots of praise based on preview builds, and judging by the E3 demo we got to try in 2019, it should be a ton of fun.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Logo Leaked, Advertises 2XP Promotion
It’s unheard of to not know what this fall’s Call of Duty will be by this point, but a recent leak might have spilled the beans on 2020’s new entry. As shared by ModernWarzone.com (and relayed by Charlie Intel), the title of the next game in the series has leaked, pointing to Doritos and Mountain Dew promotions advertising 2XP. Titled Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, this new game’s XP promotion begins on Oct. 5, which falls on a Monday.
Games typically release on Tuesdays and Fridays, so perhaps its release date will fall on Oct. 2 or 6. Until Activision confirms, we should be somewhat skeptical of this, though it’s not unusual for Call of Duty to feature promotions like the ones shown in the leaked images.
