Today’s biggest news came from the Ubisoft Forward event, which featured announcements for a Prince of Persia remake, the return of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and a closer look at Immortals Fenyx Rising (formerly known as Gods and Monsters). Ubisoft also announced that Aiden Pearce from the first Watch Dogs will be making an appearance in Watch Dogs: Legion, a new Far Cry VR experience was announced, and Riders Republic is a massive new multiplayer extreme sports game. Aiden Pearce from Watch Dogs Coming to Watch Dogs: Legion
As announced during today’s Ubisoft Forward, the star of the original Watch Dogs, Aiden Pearce, will be playable in the upcoming Watch Dogs: Legion. Pearce will be available to those who purchase the game’s season pass, but it’s unknown when the character will actually be available. Ubisoft noted that his inclusion is due to high demand, though many from the community seemed vocal about preferring the protagonist of Watch Dogs 2, Marcus Holloway. Watch Dogs: Legion will release on Oct. 29 on PC and current-gen platforms, followed by a next-gen release in November.

Riders Republic Revealed During Ubisoft Forward
Another surprise from the Ubisoft Forward event today was the announcement of Riders Republic, an open-world, massively multiplayer extreme sports game from the team that created 2016’s Steep. Riders Republic will feature a variety of extreme sports, like biking, skiing, wing gliding, and snowboarding, and it will allow you to level up your character as you make your way through the game’s career mode. There will be PvP races of more than 50 players, and the game will run at 60 FPS on next-gen consoles. It will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and Stadia on Feb. 25, 2021.
Far Cry VR: Dive into Insanity Announced, but Not for Your VR Headsets at Home
One of the more puzzling announcements from today’s Ubisoft Forward was the reveal of Far Cry VR: Dive into Insanity. It will not be playable on a personal VR unit at home, but rather at an on-site location where you’ll be able to play with others in person. This experience is developed by Zero Latency, a company that specializes in on-site VR systems like these. Dive into Insanity will be about escaping Vaas, the villain from Far Cry 3, and will be available sometime in 2021 — hopefully after the global pandemic has ended.
Marvel’s Venom Seemingly Coming to Fortnite
Prolific leaker ShiinaBR has evidence to suggest that Marvel’s Venom will be making an appearance in Fortnite in the near future. This is corroborated by other dataminers who found files for a new Venom ability called Venom’s Smash and Grab, which will apparently deal high amounts of damage. There were also images found within the files depicting Venom and Black Panther, along with Galactus, implying skins for all three characters will make an appearance. We’ll likely find out if this is true sometime during Fortnite‘s next season.

Ninja Returns to Twitch Exclusively
Following the closure of streaming platform Mixer, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has returned to Twitch exclusively. The streamer signed an exclusive deal with Mixer in August of 2019, but after it shut down in June 2020, the community had been wondering where Ninja would end up. He had been streaming on YouTube after he left Mixer, but it seems he has found a new, yet familiar home in Twitch. This news comes by way of Ninja’s official Twitter account.
