Today has been filled with an insane number of major news stories like the official reveal of the Xbox Series S, the announcement of the next Hyrule Warriors game called Age of Calamity, and a possible Ninja Gaiden Trilogy that seems to have leaked. To coincide with Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Nintendo will be re-releasing the four Champions amiibo, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will receive a preorder bonus demo later this month, and more. Here’s the video game news you might’ve missed on Sept. 8, 2020.
Nintendo Will Re-Release Breath of the Wild’s Four Champions Amiibo to Coincide with Age of Calamity
Nintendo’s amiibo figurines likely hit their peak a few years ago now, but the company still releases new ones every now and again. One of the more popular sets was for the four Champions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild — Daruk, Urbosa, Mipha, and Revali — which all sold out fairly quickly following their release. To coincide with the release of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Nintendo will re-release these four Champions, giving you another shot at getting your hands on them again. They typically cost $15.99 a piece, and it’s likely that price will remain with the re-released versions when they launch on Nov. 20, 2020.

Preorder Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time to Gain Access to a Free Demo Later This Month
Those who preorder Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time digitally will gain access to a demo that will go live on Sept. 16. The demo is available for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms, though PS4 users who preorder will also gain access to a set of skins before other platforms. Keep in mind though that this offer is for the digital versions only, and not everyone approves of the fact that this demo is being gated behind preordering in general either. Regardless, the full version of Crash Bandicoot 4 will launch on Oct. 2 and will cost $59.99 across all platforms.
Can’t wait until October 2nd? Pre-order the game digitally and get access to the #Crash4 Demo, available September 16. 🎮 https://t.co/cmaigiEWRq pic.twitter.com/A9QayoXRlT

The UK Is Getting a 24K Gold £7999 PlayStation 5, Preorder on Thursday If You’re Rich
The slow trickle of PlayStation 5 information is practically a joke at this point, and while we still don’t know when the system will release or how much it’ll cost, residents of the U.K. can preorder a fancy 24K gold PlayStation 5 this Thursday. Though, only if you’ve got a spare £7999 lying around. There are a few different versions of the system you can grab and even separate controllers and headsets. And they are all ludicrously, impractically expensive.
PlayStation 5 preorders start on Sept 10th for £7999/8099* https://t.co/qtrvq6qJxe

CI Games Has Created a New Studio to Develop Lords of the Fallen 2
Remember when Souls-like action RPG Lords of the Fallen 2 was announced in 2014? We recently got an update on its development, courtesy of CI Games. The company has created a new studio called Hexworks that will focus on fantasy action RPGs. The studio’s debut title will be the aforementioned Lords of the Fallen 2, though considering the team was just formed, the game is still likely far off. Still, it’s a good sign to receive an update on it, and hopefully we’ll get it within the next few years or so. It will release for PC and next-generation consoles when it’s ready.

Vehicles Are Back in Warzone Following Their Removal Last Week
Last week, Infinity Ward removed vehicles from Call of Duty: Warzone due to a crash exploit in which players could drive to specific out-of-bounds locations to crash the game — and ultimately kick every player from the match. Today, the developer announced vehicles have made their return to Warzone, along with a small update that adds Plunder Trios. We’re glad to see vehicles come back, because getting around the map on foot is no joke, considering its size.
Along with today's playlist update, we also added vehicles back into Warzone. Thank you for your patience. https://t.co/HS8HptGiPb
