A new trailer for the Fallout 4 fan mod, Fallout: Miami, has been released, presenting beautiful beaches, palm trees, and ruined buildings. It shows the player walking through Miami and going through various ruined areas that look like they used to be entertainment hubs. However, players are free to create their own entertainment by shooting enemies and setting other NPCs on fire.
Fallout: Miami is a volunteer project and the scope is impressive, aiming for a DLC-sized expansion. It will feature a main quest, sidequests, and a new cast of voiced characters. In order to run Fallout: Miami, players will need to own a copy of Bethesda’s Fallout 4, as well as the Far Harbor and Nuka World expansions.
Fallout: Miami has been confirmed to launch on only PC. There are no current plans to bring this mod to Xbox One due to the sheer size of the project. However, the team will consider some standalone mods on Xbox in the future, while Sony’s policy on external assets prohibits the implementation of mods at all.
Since the development team is made up entirely of volunteers, they are not committing to a specific release date yet. The team does have its own development goals and has set a target release date internally but is understandably not sharing it.
