Firestorm Joins Injustice 2 Roster

Things are about to get hot.

Injustice 2 is set to release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16, and NetherRealm Studios is still revealing new characters for the game’s roster.

The newest addition to the game is Firestorm, complete with plenty of fire-based attacks. You can check out the reveal trailer below.

“Two minds sharing one super-powered body, Jason Rusch and Martin Stein are only beginning to master their abilities as Firestorm,” reads a description on the official Injustice 2 website. “However reconciling Jason’s brash personality with Martin’s more empirical approach is no small task. While these two don’t agree on much, one thing they never argue about is helping Batman rebuild a safer world.”

In other Injustice 2 news, NetherRealm has confirmed that the game will feature a new in-game currency, Source Crystals, which can be purchased with real world money. NetherRealm assured players that this is not a “play to win” and will focus primarily on purely cosmetic changes, with the option of leveling up characters to Level 20 after the player has already done so with another character on their own.
