In Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, players have access to four classes: Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, and Assassin. The Samurai closes the distance when in combat and looks to be the most straightforward of all the classes. The Hunter shoots arrows and helps teammates from afar, while the Ronin is more of a support class, able to revive its teammates with the Breath of Izanami ability. (It also has a Spirit Dog you can pet.) The Assassin has the highest damage output and a Shadow Strike ability that allows it to teleport beside an enemy to do instant damage.

Players can access Legends by visiting new character Gyozen the Storyteller at assorted locales (or just selecting the mode from the main menu). His tales can transport you to two-player Story Missions about the real happenings in Tsushima, with additional unlockable difficulties. Upward of four players can also indulge in Survival missions and the Raid. Survival missions involve facing off against waves of different enemies and defending locations, while the Raid is a three-part adventure that requires teamwork and communication between players.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will feature gear and cosmetic rewards, and there will be no microtransactions.

Meanwhile, Ghost of Tsushima‘s New Game+ mode will start you off with all of Jin’s previously obtained Techniques, Gear, and Vanity items, plus a New Game+ horse with a red mane and saddle. Difficulty will be increased too but will still be adjustable. Additionally, new charms are available, as well as a new type of flower called the Ghost Flower. Exclusive to New Game+, Ghost Flowers can be traded with a new merchant named Ariake for even more elaborate armor dyes.
