Ghostbusters Cast to Reprise Role for Game – Except Moranis

Much of the original “Ghostbusters” movie cast is making its way into the upcoming video game – but not Rick Moranis, who apparently decided he’s too rich to work.

In a preview with the German publication Das Gamer (which bears the motto, “Because everything is funnier in German, even video games), Sierra Producer Ben Borth and Terminal Reality Development Director Brendan Goss said key figures were onboard, including Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, Annie Potts – and William Atherton, who played the irritable inspector infamously dubbed “dickless” by Akroyd’s character.

Moranis, of “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” fame, however, declined involvement. “He made so much money off of Honey I Shrunk The Kids that he retired. He just doesn’t want to work anymore,” said Borth.

Moranis portrayed the clueless nerd who played the Keymaster to Sigourney Weaver’s Gatekeeper before being turned into a dog.

According to the preview, players will take up the role a fifth Ghostbuster equipped with an experimental proton pack, helping chase and capture ghosts.

You’ll also be able to try out some interesting stream combinations like the Slime Cannon and Mason Collider. Either way, you hopefully won’t be left dickless.
