Cell phone game giant Glu Mobile moves its executives to higher heights.
Glu Mobile, a portable games publisher, announced a series of executive changes to help control the company’s worldwide expansion. Jill Braff, formerly senior vice president of worldwide marketing and general manager of the Americas, has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Publishing and now Oversees Worldwide Licensing, Marketing and Sales. Company Chief Technology Officer Alex Galvagni added the title of Senior Vice President of global development to his business card, making him responsible for product development and technology services.
Greg Ballard, Glu Mobile’s Chief Executive Officer, commented, “Glu’s success as a global publisher is the result of our ability to leverage capabilities worldwide while maintaining deep focus within each country and region within which we operate. These promotions will further enhance our ability to execute on a local level by enabling our global offices to share best practices more efficiently. Both Alex and Jill have been exemplary leaders within our organization and as we continue to establish local offices in key territories, they will be key in working with our international teams to establish business practices for each region.”
Sadly, in the midst of the promotions, Kristian Segerstrale, Founder of the Glu-acquired Macrospace studio, has left the company. “I want to personally thank Kristian for his contributions to Glu’s success. The company has come a long way since Sorrent acquired Macrospace and the two companies combined to form Glu. Kristian has played an important role in our development and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” said Ballard.
