Check out a trailer for the downloadable content below:

This expansion will mix God of War combat with the roguelite genre. It will be available on December 12 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

More details were shared on PlayStation.Blog. This story will take place after the events of Ragnarok and will act as the game’s epilogue. Kratos and Mimir will be the sole characters in the DLC. Kratos will gain resources as he defeats enemies in Valhalla, which will affect the land itself, as well as Kratos’ abilities.

In addition, while Kratos has access to all his weapons and fully upgraded skill trees at all times, he can only commit to one shield and path of Spartan Rage for each attempt. There will be a total of five difficulty settings from which to choose.

I’m excited to jump into God of War Ragnarok Valhalla because it has new enemies to fight and old ones from past games. I can’t be the only one who saw the Cyclops show up in the trailer! Now I can kill it in a whole new way.
