God of War Ragnarok is only two months away, and the wait just got harder thanks to a gripping new story trailer shown during today’s PlayStation State of Play that teases a climactic journey for Kratos and Atreus. The bond between these two PlayStation icons will be put to the test as they tear through a colorful variety of mythological locations. Aside from the giant jellyfish and vibrant backdrops that plague the scenery in today’s God of War Ragnarok story trailer, the footage teases an explosive showdown with Thor.
Ragnarok launches on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 9, 2022, and you can watch the State of Play story trailer below for a better look at what’s to come.
Announced alongside today’s trailer is a special God of War Ragnarok PS5 controller. It sports an icy aesthetic that pairs well with the father-and-son wolves that grace the DualSense touchpad. The controller will be available to purchase on the day of the game’s release come November 9, with preorders opening on September 27. See a picture of the controller below.
God of War Ragnarok collector’s editions were revealed alongside the game’s release date in July, promising a collectible map, replica Mjölnir, wooden figurines, and more, depending on which version you purchase. Stay tuned for more updates on God of War Ragnarok.
