You can now buy every Interplay game on GOG, including Fallout, Freespace and more, for 35 bucks.
If you’ve ever wondered why so many gamers of a certain age get a wistful, far-away look in their eyes whenever the Interplay name comes up, let me point you at GOG’s latest, and possibly greatest, game sale. For the next two weeks, you can pay what you want for eight Interplay games, including Conquest of the New World, Jagged Alliance 2, Shattered Steel, M.A.X. and M.A.X. 2, or you can fork over a little more and get… well, everything.
If you pay more than the average price, currently sitting at a little over $11, you’ll get 20 Interplay games, including everything in the pay-what-you-want bundle plus a dozen more, like Freespace and the Silent Threat expansion, Descent 3, Stonekeep, Messiah and Giants: Citizen Kabuto. Or you can fork over $34.99 and get 32 games, including all of the above plus Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics, Freespace 2, MDK 1 and 2 and Kingpin: Life of Crime.
Along with the games, the $34.99 bundle comes with 21 full soundtracks and 721 “goodies,” including concept art, game manuals, wallpapers, “making of” videos and all the other bonus content included with each game. As usual, all games are DRM free, and if you happen to own a few of them already, you can gift your extra copies to your friends. I think that qualifies as a pretty solid deal.
GOG’s pay-what-you-want deal on Interplay games is live now and will run for the next 14 days. If you want to get in on the action, head over to gog.com/interplay.
