When human life is almost nonexistent, and Earth is a desolate wasteland, what’s a person to do? If you’re ultra-rich, you flee to Mars. But then you come back to Earth whenever you want to unwind and play a couple of rounds of golf. Golf Club: Wasteland is an atmospheric 2D mini golf game from developer Demagog Studio and publisher Untold Tales where you can do just that. And as you explore Earth’s abandoned places, you can expect vignettes and sounds from the past via Radio Nostalgia.
Golf Club: Wasteland is a decent golf title that will undoubtedly be a hole-in-one for some. The chill vibe is present, the futuristic music is swell, and although the story is sparse, the gameplay is engaging enough to forgive that absence.
The game is available September 3 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store for the price of $9.99.
