Start blowing the snot out of Gotham, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
After a lot of waiting, Gotham City Impostors is finally being released. Developer Monolith Productions (known for games like No One Lives Forever and F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin) has revealed that the game will be going live next week, coming to North American PCs and the PSN on February 7th, while European gamers and XBLA users will have to wait until the 8th.
In case you haven’t heard about Gotham City Impostors before now, the game is a squad shooter where two gangs modeled after Batman and the Joker are at war with one another while the Dark Knight isn’t around to bust up their fun. As the game progresses, you can unlock new outfits and make use of goofy gear like spring boots and personal gliders.
I’ve been curious about the game ever since Warner Bros. showed it off at E3 2011 and increasingly excited about it with every ridiculous trailer that’s been released since then. Looks like we’ll get to see if it was worth the wait next week.
