During the DC FanDome event, WB Games Montreal finally announced its upcoming Batman game, titled Gotham Knights. The game will release in 2021.
The official announcement from WB Games Montreal featured a slick trailer for Gotham Knights. The premise of the plot is that Batman is allegedly dead. He sends a message to his allies, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Red Hood, to help protect Gotham City in his place since the Gotham City Police Department cannot be counted on and Jim Gordon is dead as well.
As Batman’s enemies come out of the woodwork following Bruce Wayne’s reported death, it’s up to the members of the Bat-family to stop them. The trailer showcases each of them fighting crime throughout Gotham City. At the end of the trailer, it shows what looks to be the central antagonist of the game, the Court of Owls.
Back in June, the domain name “GothamKnightsGame.com” was discovered. WB Games Montreal already teased a Court of Owls storyline at the beginning of this year.
Gotham Knights has a set release window of 2021, and while specific platforms were not announced in the trailer, the game will release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
