Gotham Knights release date October 2022 WB Games Montreal PS4 PS5 Xbox One Series X S PC

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and WB Games Montreal have announced an October 25, 2022 release date for Gotham Knights. This is a superhero action RPG where you can play as Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood, who are desperately trying to keep Gotham City together following the death of Bruce Wayne, aka Batman. The game offers two-player online co-op and was originally supposed to release last year but was delayed.

Gotham Knights was revealed at DC FanDome in 2020, where it received a gameplay walkthrough that featured Mr. Freeze as the villain. In October 2021, a story trailer elaborated on how the Court of Owls will be the major villains in the game. They use social connections and assassins called Talons to control Gotham City from the shadows, making it that much more difficult for our heroes to foil their plans.

Prior to Gotham Knights, WB Games Montreal developed Batman: Arkham Origins, a prequel to the series created by Rocksteady Studios. Meanwhile, Rocksteady itself is currently developing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which will reportedly not arrive until 2023. A Wonder Woman game is also in development at Monolith, the developer of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

Hopefully all of these games will be great, but the first out of the gate will be Gotham Knights with its new October release date. It will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and PC.
