Grateful for Groot: Greatest Fan Tributes to the Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy inspired many fans to create tributes to Groot, and we’ve rounded up the best!

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was a huge hit. The wacky adventure in space is already set to get a sequel, but until then fans keep producing incredible works of art inspired by the movie. There’s a lot of love out there for Groot, the gargantuan tree-like alien with a limited vocabulary who travels with Rocket Raccoon. I’ll always remember the surprise and joy of the crowd sitting in the packed theater as the credits started to roll for Guardians of the Galaxy and the dancing baby Groot scene began to play.

So, to keep you smiling about the gentle giant, I’ve gathered up all my favorite fan creations dedicated to Groot. From illustration to crochet, these fan works range from impressive to hilarious to jaw-droppingly gorgeous. Some are even edible! By the end, I’m sure you’ll be joining in the chorus of “We are Groot!”
