Data tracking firm Chart-Track has announced finalized UK numbers for the first sales week of Grand Theft Auto IV.
The game has moved 926,000 units for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in total.
As day-one sales registered at 631,000 and the first week sales comprised five days, the sales drop-off was considerable.
Nonetheless, the firm said the game’s software revenue was larger than that of the entire software market for any week of 2008 following the first one.
The 360 and PS3 saw a 55/45 split in overall sales for the title.
The title’s predecessor, San Andreas still holds the day one and week one records for a single platform, the PS2, but that console had an install base of 6.6 million at the time of the game’s release in 2004.
