Halo 3 Gets New Map Pack

Bungie and Microsoft have released the Legendary Map Pack for Halo 3.

The download, available via Xbox Live, comprises three new maps and new options for editing in the Forge.

Two of the maps, Avalanche and Blackout, are derived from the last two Halo titles. The former is a vehicle map with a flying contraption, the Hornet. Blackout is in the strain of Halo 2’s Lockout and is designed for small Slayer matches.

Ghost Town, the original inclusion, introduces “desolate jungle combat.”

The pack can be purchased for 800 MS Points. Microsoft is running a promotion for early birds who will get a four month digital subscription to “Bungie Pro,” a Halo-oriented file sharing and storage service.
