It looks like Paramount+ will be the home of curb-stomping Flood. During a massive event, where the rebranded streamer made a ton of announcements, the platform formerly known as CBS All Access announced that the Halo TV series will now be coming to Paramount+. The show, which is being produced by Stephen Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment, was originally set to land on Showtime.

The move gives Paramount+ a massive franchise that isn’t called Star Trek to pull in subscribers and launch the platform onto another tier in the streaming wars. Deadline reports that Showtime, which is still producing the show, and Viacom, which owns both Showtime and Paramount+, saw early footage from the show and instantly thought it would be perfect for delivering subscribers to their new service.
The series is currently shooting in Budapest after years of struggles to get off the ground, including being delayed multiple times thanks to the pandemic. It will star Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief Spartan John-117 and Natascha McElhone as Dr. Halsey, the conflicted creator of the Spartan program. Also joining the cast will be Bokeem Woodbine as Soren-066, David Sapani playing Captain Jacob Keyes, Olive Gray as Dr. Miranda Keyes, and Charlie Murphy as Makee. Finally, it was announced that Cortana will be played by her original voice actor, Jen Taylor.
Not much is known about the Halo show’s plot other than it does take place in the same universe as the games. Also, since the Tweets are attached together, Frasier is coming back.
