The head of the Mishima Corporation goes for the Hair Club special for the next Tekken game.
Heihachi Mishima, probably the Tekken series’ longest standing villain, clearly wants to look his best for the second Tekken Tag Tournament games. To that end, he’s had a little work done, and now looks younger than ever.
The most noticeable change is that his hair is now back to the original color it was in the first two Tekken games. Slightly stranger, however, is the fact that he now has a lot more of it than he’s ever had before, having found a way of combating baldness that can withstand the rigors of a martial arts tournament. The Tekken Tag games are non-canonical however, so this sudden youthfulness doesn’t actually need any explanation.
Aside from Heihachi’s slightly disconcerting case of de-aging, which makes him look younger than his son, Kazuya, the trailer for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 features various fan favourites from previous games, as well as a new addition to the Tekken roster, in the form of an as-yet unnamed female luchadora.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 comes out in Japanese arcades next summer, with console versions to follow at an unspecified date.
