Ghostrunner 2 rewards players willing to poke around levels a bit more with collectable, one type of which is new swords, though they’re not always easy to find. As such, here’s how to find both hidden swords in Ghostrunner 2 Chapter 1: “Uninvited Guests.”
Where to Find Ghostrunner 2’s First Hidden Sword
I’ll be 100% honest with you, I struggled hunting these down when I first started playing Ghostrunner 2. In a game that offers players so much freedom of improvement, I instantly thought these secrets would be tucked away in difficult-to-reach places that required some creative platforming. Turns out, I was over-think it substantially as both of the hidden swords in “Uninvited Guests” are located in fairly obvious locations.

The first one is located towards the end of the mission, shortly after the introduction of air vents as a mechanic to launch jack across vast gaps. While you may think it’s hidden in one of the larger arena encounters, it’s actually tucked away in vent during one of the smaller, more linear sections of the mission. Make you way through the alleys and streets of Ghostrunner 2‘s cyberpunk dystopia before reaching a section that features three horizontal yellow poles. Now, your instinct is to obviously leap onto them and swing your way over to the out-of-reach platform. Pump the breaks there, homie. Instead of charging forward. Stop and look over the edge.
You should see a large pipe protruding from the right side of the section upon which you’re standing. More interesting than that though is the grate with yellow fractures and breaks. That’s obviously our target so drop down there and smack it with your boring default sword.
Then, all you need to do is simply follow this vent and you’ll be presented with your first sword. Bare in mind that equipping these doesn’t grant you an unique abilities or perks, they’re purely cosmetic. Still, this one in particular looks like a substantial upgrade.
Where to Find Ghostrunner 2’s Second Hidden Sword
This particular sword is more obviously hidden but still just as satisfying to unearth. In the final arena battle of “Uninvited Guests,” you’ll notice that when you slide into the room there’ll be a billboard with a grapple point on your left. Below it will be a single gunman and a swordsman, both of whom are in range of being crushed by the gigantic advertisement if you yank it over. You’ll need to do this anyway, so you might as well capitalize on the destruction and clear out two enemies in the process.

With the billboard on the ground, you’ll notice a vent with a red light coming from it at the base. That’s where you want to head to duck on in and follow it down to a little storage area that contains your latest sword. Honestly, it’s a pretty plain palette swap of your default blade so while you may not use it, it’ll still look good mounted on your wall. Once you’ve picked up the collectible, flip the switch on the right of the room to open up your exit and use the fan on the other side to launch back into the arena.
It’s worth noting that you might want to tackle these in order since there are sections in “Uninvited Guests” where you won’t be able to return to a previous location to pick up any collectible you may have missed. Fortunately, Ghostrunner 2 moves quickly as there’s an option to instantly restart a mission when you reach its conclusion, so you an always run it again to pick up something you glanced over! Now that you’ve picked up some new weapons, go ahead and wrap up the mission so that you can continue your quest to uncover even more collectibles.
