Collecting resources such as Ore quickly is an essential part of Palworld, so here’s how to get it and farm it in the game.
How to Get Ore in Palworld
Once you get your base up and running in Palworld, you’ll quickly realize that you’ll need to spend a lot of time gathering resources. Whether it’s grabbing Wood or Stone, you’ll need these items to get your operation firing on all cylinders. And Ore is one of the most important resources, as it’s essential when making Ingots, which have all sorts of uses that we’ll detail later.
In order to get Ore in Palworld, players will need to craft a Pickaxe, which is a pretty simple process. Once that’s done, players will just have to locate the large orange rock formations around the world and start going to town. For those still in the early game, there are some Ore deposits directly south of Fort Ruins. You’ll also find them scattered across the map in general, so keep note of where you’ve found them. You can, in some cases, even get Ore close to other valuable Palworld resources, such as Coal.
How to Farm Ore in Palworld
In order to farm Ore quickly, players should craft a Metal Pickaxe when they’re able, which is unlockable at level 11 and requires 15 Stone, 20 Wood, and five Ingots. Those Ingots are obtainable by farming Ore, so you’re using what you’re getting to make the whole process more efficient overall.
That may sound like a bit much, but it will make the mining process much easier. From there, capture some Pals who are good at mining and put them to work, as that’ll start a production line that ensures you’re never without Ore again. Instead, you can just focus on which Pals are getting the best Palworld guns.
What the Resource Is Used For
We mentioned earlier that you’ll need Ore to make Ingots in Palworld using your Furnace. Since they’re useful for so much, I’m not going to write everything down here. However, Ingots are essential for upgrading your tools, making Nails, early-game weapons, and a ton of different materials you’ll want when constructing your base.
