Lies of P is a hellish, Bloodborne-like take on the classic story of Pinocchio set to arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S. This inspired Soulslike comes from developer Round8 Studio and publisher NEOWIZ. As out there as it might sound, Lies of P is very real, and you can see it for yourself in the announcement trailer.
As explained on the Lies of P Steam page, the game’s collapsed city of Krat is inspired by Europe’s Belle Époque era. Lying plays a crucial role in how the story unfolds, with players able to guide their way through a narrative with multiple endings. Gloomy as the game may seem, it does come with an array of gameplay features to keep you coming back. For instance, a weapon-making system for Pinocchio enables players to combine weapons to create unique results. Pinocchio himself can also be customized with different doll body parts to help progress.
The narrative of the game involves a search to find Mr. Geppetto, but it won’t be easy: “All of humanity is lost in a once beautiful city that has now become a living hell filled with unspeakable horrors. Lies of P offers an elegant world filled with tension, deep combat system and a gripping story. Guide (Pinocchio) and experience his unrelenting journey to become human.”
Lies of P has no release window yet.
