Loki Lies His Way Through ‘Glorious’ First Trailer, Lands Release Date

Loki release date Loki trailer Tom Hiddleston Disney+ MCU Marvel Cinematic Universe

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is coming to Disney+, and we better all be ready. Probably the show with the most hype is Loki because, well, it’s Loki. Disney has finally released the first Loki trailer for the upcoming series during their investor call, and it is “glorious.”

Loki lives on in some way, but where did he escape to and what is he doing? That’s unclear. Evidently, he’ll be trapped someplace by the Time Variance Authority (TVA), and he’ll be walked around by Owen Wilson. There is plenty to unpack in this trailer, including what looks like a moment with a certain dead, red-headed spy staring off into space on an alien planet. If you thought WandaVision looked weird, this one seems even stranger. It’s kind of nice to see the MCU pushing boundaries a bit, especially with such a fun character.

Loki also netted a release date after months of delays due to COVID-19. The show will now land on Disney+ in May 2021.
