Bethesda Softworks says the Lonesome Road DLC for Fallout: New Vegas won’t be out this month after all, for a whole bunch of reasons.
To make a long story short, Lonesome Road, the latest DLC for Fallout: New Vegas, will not be out in August, as was apparently the plan. To make a short story a little longer, senior producer Jason Bergman explained why on the Fallout forums.
“We just wanted to drop in here and let you know that due to circumstances beyond our control, Lonesome Road won’t be out this month,” he wrote. “This isn’t due to any major issue with the code or content, but there are lots of factors involved in releasing these things, and one of those is causing us to slip past our intended release date.”
So when will it be out? “We don’t have an exact date yet, but we’re working to get it out as quickly as possible,” he continued. “We’ll be announcing the final date, along with a couple of other interesting FNV-related items in the near future.”
While Bergman declined to explain exactly what caused the delay, he did make the very interesting point of noting that it’s not Bethesda’s fault. “Wish I could go into more detail, but I can’t,” he wrote in a separate post. All I’ll say is that it is through no fault of the developers.”
Very interesting indeed! The implication seems to be that it won’t be a huge delay for Lonesome Road, so I’m thinking September. When we know, you’ll know!
