Mario Strikers: Battle League is a sequel to the GameCube original soccer spinoff, and it’s coming to Nintendo Switch with a release date of June 10, 2022. An announcement trailer for the long-awaited follow-up premiered as part of today’s February 2022 Nintendo Direct, showing off a cartoony cinematic video before upping the ante with full-on gameplay footage. You can watch the video below for a better look at Mario, Bowser, Donkey Kong, and the rest of the roster.

Players can customize characters with gear to go into each match with favorable stats. Additional new features include the online Club mode and the all-powerful Hyper Strike move. Preorders for Mario Strikers: Battle League are available now. There are a few months to go until launch. Until then, you can watch today’s Nintendo Direct below.
