Insomniac Games is adding the ability to export PlayStation 4 save data to the PlayStation 5 release of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered following the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales this month. Fans have been asking to transfer their existing progress since the studio announced that it would be remastering its web-slinging open-world PlayStation 4 game, and Insomniac fulfilled those wishes in a tweet today. In addition to the ability to export save data, PlayStation 4 players will receive three new costumes being added to Remastered, which is set to launch around Thanksgiving.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered was revealed earlier this year as a PlayStation 5 title. Along with some obvious enhancements, such as better visuals and 60 FPS, Insomniac’s remaster will feature a new face for Peter Parker. The game’s upgrade from the original PlayStation 4 release arrives alongside Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which is a standalone new adventure for players to swing through on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered launch alongside PlayStation 5 this week on Nov. 12. Though you can purchase the former for $49.99, players will be able to buy a post-purchase upgrade for $20 to include the latter. Alternatively, you can purchase both games as a bundle for $69.99.
Owners of the original Marvel’s Spider-Man on PlayStation 4 will not receive a free upgrade to the remaster on PlayStation 5.
