Sam’s Story is Metro Exodus’ final piece of story DLC, and it comes out in just a few weeks. Developer 4A Games and publisher Deep Silver posted a blog update notifying fans that Sam’s Story will bring an end to the journey when it launches for Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Feb. 11.
Metro Exodus’ second and final story DLC is a sandbox-survival expansion that follows former US marine Sam Branskill as he journeys back to America. The post says the soldier almost lost hope during his time in the metro, but after finding more survivors after the war, Branskill hopes to find his family alive in the USA. Below is a synopsis for Sam’s Story:
“Sam makes his way away from the Aurora in search of a way back to the USA, arriving at the remains of Vladivostok’s tsunami ravaged harbours, ruined industrial buildings, and crumbling residential districts. To complete his journey, Sam will discover that he needs every tactic he has learned so far to survive, as his surroundings prove to be far trickier than expected.”
Despite releasing so soon, the DLC has no pricing or trailer, though you can still pick up the game’s expansion pass for $25. Sam’s Story is preceded by The Two Colonels, the first major DLC 4A Games released for Metro Exodus.
In other Metro news, Metro Redux, a double remaster pack containing Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, was confirmed to come to Nintendo Switch in February as well.
