MIT Presents the Future of Entertainment Conference

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has announced a new technology conference.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Comparative Media Studies program and Convergence Culture Consortium declared plans to hold a new conference in Cambridge, Massachusetts on November 17th and 18th. This conference, titled the Futures of Entertainment Conference, aims to bring together industry leaders in the areas of video games, web development, advertising, media, and academic research. Topics covered in the conference include user-generated content, transmedia storytelling, the rise of mobile media and the emergence of social networking.

Registration for the conference is available from the Futures of Entertainment website and is open to the public. Speakers who are planned for attendance include DC Comics president Paul Levitz, The Long Tail author Chris Anderson, an uncomfirmed speaker from Bioware Corp., along with other tecnology and media advocates.
