Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 Trailer and Release Date Window Drop

Studio Bones Mob Psycho 100 season 3 teaser trailer October 2022 release date window

It’s Shigeo Kageyama’s birthday! No idea who that is? You don’t watch enough anime then, but he’s also known as Mob and he’s the protagonist of the popular anime Mob Psycho 100, which is easily one of the more Japanese show titles out there. In celebration of this not-really-important day, Studio Bones, the animation studio behind the anime, dropped a teaser trailer for Mob Psycho 100 season 3 and announced a premiere date window of October 2022, though there’s no word on a streaming home yet.

Mob Psycho 100 is based on the manga of the same name and follows the life of Mob, who has psychic powers. When he’s discovered by a self-described psychic medium, he finds himself with a job and a mentor. Mob Psycho 100 has gained plenty of traction since its first season debuted in 2016 and now looks to go even bigger, with season 3 seeming to revolve around the cult that follows Mob — now over 500,000 strong — and his attempt to make Ekubo/Dimple stop trying to be bad. It also appears that Mob is stumped about what he’ll do once he graduates high school, in addition to being overwhelmed at the idea that girls might like him. See, Japanese anime kids with psychic powers have the same problems as all of us.

The Mob Psycho 100 season 3 trailer picks up at the end as lots of anime stuff happens, with the ground exploding, people glowing, and fingers being pointed really hard at the screen. There is also a giant broccoli, which might seem intriguing but the trailer kind of glosses over it.

Elsewhere in the anime world, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will arrive in theaters in North America this summer.
