Videogame designers work hard to ensure their games are fair and balanced but Mother Nature, as the wickedly funny Creature Combat IV clearly demonstrates, isn’t nearly as considerate.
No, this isn’t news. But it’s got a cat, home-made sound effects, violence and videogame jokes, and it’s the funniest thing I’ve seen in weeks. That’s good enough for me.
Created by Susanne Wohlfahrt and Marcus Blättermann as part of a four-day animation workshop, this video is something to keep in mind the next time you’re tempted to complain that you’re being treated unfairly by a game that obviously hasn’t been balanced properly. In the cold, harsh world of nature, there are no playtesters.
