Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez presented five-minutes of the upcoming action film Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, based on Miller’s critically acclaimed comic book series. Just as the previous film and the comics were noted for their distinct visual style, A Dame to Kill For is still visually striking.
The clip was from the Sin City story “Just Another Saturday Night“, a tale about Marv, played by Mickey Rourke, whose monologue played over the scene.
A Dame to Kill For features many returning cast members beyond Rourke, such as Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, and Rosario Dawson. Newcomers include Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Christopher Lloyd, and Lady Gaga. The film will focus primarily on the second book in the comic series, but also includes two original stories written by Miller for the film.
The sequel to 2005’s Sin City will premiere on August 22nd, 2014.
