It’s been a long time since we’ve heard about the new Skate game at Electronic Arts (EA), but developer Full Circle informs us all that they’re “still working on it” in a short behind-the-scenes update video shared today. Deran Chung, one of the project’s key designers, says the Skate revival project is still early in development. Only a select few influencers have seen the new Skate game in action, but you can at least see some of their reactions in the update video below.

EA first announced that a new Skate was in development last year at EA Play 2020. This past January, the publisher announced the newly established Full Circle as the studio tasked with bringing the franchise back to life. Other than those two mentions, however, we have yet to receive any major updates. Today’s behind-the-scenes update video also follows the news that Full Circle and Skate will not appear during this week’s EA Play Live presentation. We’ll probably have to wait a while before we get another official update.

While Skate fans won’t have much to appreciate during EA Play Live, we do have an idea of what will be shown. EA says that shooters Battlefield 2042 and Apex Legends will appear at the show. Mass Effect and Dragon Age will not show up during the presentation this week, unfortunately, though a rumored Dead Space remake from EA Motive may make a surprise appearance.
