We at The Escapist enjoy The Drink. Alex, our Commander-in-Chief, makes a mean martini, and a really mean Long Island Iced Tea (I’ll tell you that story when you’re older – and my memory finally comes back). As a gift to you on this New Year’s Eve Eve, here are a few gaming-themed drinks for you to enjoy, and hopefully share, with your (of age in your particular jurisdiction) friends.

Super Mario Sunshine
1 oz grenadine
2 oz tequila
2 oz grapefruit juice (yellow sun! Yellow sun!)
Shake the tequila and grapefruit juice over ice and pour into a lowball glass. Carefully pour the grenadine down the side of the glass so it settles in the bottom. Add a splash of Tobasco if you’re insane, or you just want to shoot fireballs.
Indigo Prophecy’s Schizophrenic Story Line
1 oz everclear
3 oz jagermeister
cranberry juice
Shake the everclear and jager in a mixer and pour over ice in a highball glass. Fill with cranberry juice. If this doesn’t cause you to wake up in a bathroom covered in blood, I’ve failed you as a long distance bar tender.
Tetris
Whatever’s laying around
The ultimate college drink. Take whatever’s in the pantry and fill a highball glass. It’s kind of like a Long Island Iced Tea, only you can watch four lines disappear at a time! Please don’t take this one seriously.
