Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja announced that Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection will come to PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One on June 10. The series has sold about 6.8M units in total since its debut. This collection will include Ninja Gaiden Sigma (2007), Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (2009), and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge (2012).
Most of the game modes previously released in these titles, as well as DLC costumes, will be included in this collection. In addition to protagonist Ryu Hayabusa being playable, four iconic female characters from the franchise will be as well: Ayane, Rachel, Momiji, and Kasumi. They will appear how they did in the original versions of the games, and their playability will differ depending on the game.

However, several aspects of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge‘s online functions are not included in the remastered collection, such as the Clan Battle and Ninja Trials modes in Shadows of the World multiplayer area. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2‘s online multiplayer Tag Missions will not be available as well.
Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection can of course be played on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S via backward compatibility. Rumors of a Ninja Gaiden remaster trilogy surfaced back in September, but now we have official confirmation.
In related news, former series director Tomonobu Itagaki started a new studio recently.
