In celebration of Super Mario‘s 30th Anniversary, Nintendo of Europe has announced a Super Mario Maker Wii U bundle.
Three Super Mario Maker bundles have been announced by Nintendo of Europe. The bundles are
- Super Mario Maker Wii U Premium Pack: a black Wii U Premium console, a physical copy of Super Mario Maker, a Hardcover Artbook and a Classic Colours Mario amiibo from the Mario 30th Anniversary Collection
- Super Mario Maker Limited Edition Pack: a physical copy of Super Mario Maker, a Hardcover Artbook and a Classic Colours Mario amiibo from the Mario 30th Anniversary Collection
- Super Mario Maker Standard Edition Pack: a physical copy of Super Mario Maker and a Hardcover Artbook
“The next evolution of the Super Mario Bros. series, Super Mario Maker for Wii U lets you not only play but also create and share brand new courses,” the press release reads. “The game wowed the crowds at the annual E3 expo last June and is set to unleash the creativity of generations of Mario fans as it launches just in time for the 30th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros. game.”
Fans who purchase Super Mario Maker through the Nintendo eShop will be able to download a PDF of the Artbook. A hardcover version will be available for purchase separately through the Nintendo Official UK Store.
The bundles will release alongside Super Mario Maker on September 11th.
Nintendo also announced that the “Classic Colours” Mario amiibo from the 30th Anniversary Collection will be available on September 11. The “Modern Colours” variant will be available October 23rd.
The bundles have not yet been officially announced for release in North America. We have reached out to Nintendo for comment and will update this post with any response.
