Almost since the launch of Nintendo Switch, fans have been asking for options for folders, to more easily group games. Now, the dream has become reality. Firmware update 14.0.0 is live now for Nintendo Switch, adding support for “groups.” You can create upward of 100 groups, and each group can contain upward of 200 games. You can group games by genre, developer, or whatever is most convenient for you.
To access the new groups / folders functionality on Nintendo Switch, you just have to update your system firmware, scroll to the far right of your “Home” menu to select “All Software,” and press the L button to view software in groups. The first time you create a group, you will receive a prompt instructing you on what to do and how to proceed. It looks surprisingly straightforward, which is honestly kind of refreshing.

Beyond adding groups / folders support for Nintendo Switch, the 14.0.0 firmware update also adjusts Bluetooth audio behavior. It gets a bit technical, so here are the specific patch notes for the Bluetooth alterations:
- You can now adjust the volume of Bluetooth audio devices using either the Nintendo Switch™ console or through volume control buttons on the Bluetooth audio device.
- The Bluetooth audio device must support AVRCP profiles for these changes to work.
- The volume displayed on the console will reflect the Bluetooth audio volume when using the device’s control buttons.
- The maximum volume output for some Bluetooth audio devices has been increased.
- When first connecting a device, volume will be reduced to avoid sudden loudness.
