It looks like the first entry in the No More Heroes franchise has been rated for the Nintendo Switch by the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee.
Discovered by Gematsu, No More Heroes might be gearing up for a rerelease on Nintendo’s latest console. The original game came out in 2007 for the Nintendo Wii and received an enhanced port over on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010 as No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise.
The rating could be an indication that we might be seeing an official announcement related to the game soon. Suda51 himself said that he would like to port No More Heroes and its sequel, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle onto the Nintendo Switch.
While it has only been rated for the Switch so far, that doesn’t rule out the possibilities for release on other platforms as well. The most recent entry in the franchise, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes released first on Switch in January 2019, and then was released on PlayStation 4 and Steam later in October.
A new mainline entry in the series, No More Heroes 3, was announced at E3 2019. The most recent update regarding the game was a trailer shown at last year’s Game Awards. Hopefully, we’ll hear more information on both No More Heroes 3 and this alleged port of the first game in the near future.
