No Time to Die Drops Its First Trailer Since Being Delayed by Pandemic

No Time to Die trailer 2 Cary Joji Fukunaga Daniel Craig James Bond

No Time to Die is sticking with its November release date as theaters start to reopen, and its marketing campaign kicks back into gear with the release of a new trailer for the film. This and a poster released two days ago are the first signs of life for the film since it was delayed from opening in March to Nov. 20 due to COVID-19. This new trailer gives us the best look at yet at Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond.

This No Time to Die trailer leads far heavier into the action and James Bond-ness of the film than previous looks at the movie, which played more into the drama and intrigue. There are plenty of one-liners, ridiculous action (the car driving over him!), and Bond putting on tuxedos. We also get a loose look at the plot, which involves Bond returning to service after the events of Spectre when CIA agent Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) asks him for help. From there some truly Bondian antics ensue with what appears to be a plot to kill millions being executed by Rami Malek’s deliciously evil villain. He’s joined on the adventure by the new 007 played by Lashana Lynch.

Returning alongside Craig for No Time to Die are Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann, Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Ralph Fiennes as M, and Christoph Waltz as Blofeld. Cary Joji Fukunaga (Beasts of No Nation) is directing from a script by himself and longtime Bond scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. The latter pair are probably the ones responsible for the more “Bond” moments in the trailer, as they’ve been writing Bond movies since The World Is Not Enough.

No Time to Die will release on Nov. 20.
