Ocean’s Heart Is Like Zelda, and That’s About It – Review in 3 Minutes

Recommended Videos

Ocean’s Heart is a top-down action adventure game from solo developer Max Mraz. You play as Tilia, a young woman whose home island is attacked by pirates. In the chaos, your best friend Hazel is abducted and your father Mallow, a volunteer navy man, leaves the island to rescue her. But after six months and no word on their fates, you set out yourself as a volunteer navy trainee.

The game is a roughly 12-hour adventure with several additional hours of side content. It has studied the 2D Zelda formula and may scratch an itch if you’re desperate for that recognizable gameplay, but it doesn’t do much to differentiate or expand on the genre. The game is available now for $14.99 on PC.
