Nintendo announced Audino as the next Pokemon to have a Mega Evolution in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
Audino will be able to Mega Evolve in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The special evolution, which was first introduced in Pokemon X and Y will mark the first time Audino is able to evolve.
Audino is a normal-type Pokemon that does not evolve from or into another Pokemon. Players can obtain a mega stone in Pokemon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire. While in battle, with the mega stone Audino can evolve into Mega Audino. It gains the fairy type in its mega evolved form, and its defense and special defense increase. With the healer ability, Mega Audino has a 30% chance of curing the status condition of an adjacent ally at the end of every turn. This makes Mega Audino a perfect pick for a support position in double and triple Pokemon battles.
Other previously announced mega evolutions include Sceptile, Swampert, Groudon, Kyogre, Diancie, Salemence, Altaria, Lopunny, and Metagross.
Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire should have a healthy mix of elements from the original Ruby and Sapphire as well as additions introduced in X and Y. Nintendo already confirmed secret bases, first introduced in Ruby and Sapphire will return for the remakes. Nintendo hasn’t said a word on whether character customization and clothes shopping (from X and Y) will be in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire launch on the 3DS November 21.
