Penny Arcade lists its keynote speaker, prizes and entertainment for the Penny Arcade Expo.
Web comic and well-known party-throwers Penny Arcade have confirmed further entertainment details for their Penny Arcade Expo, which will be hosted from August 24-26.
Writer, actor and geek icon Wil Wheaton will be the keynote speaker. The winner of the 2007 Omegathon will receive a trip for two to the September 22-23 Tokyo Game Show along with $5,000 in spending money and complimentary airfare and hotel room. This year’s headlining band will be The Minibosses, joined by the OneUps, MC Frontalot, Jonathan Coulton, Freezepop, The Neskimos and Optimus Rhyme.
PAX 2007 is expected to be the largest production the Penny Arcade. As Mike “Gabe” Krahulik wrote on the comic’s website: “We’ve got a massive new venue, a projected attendance of 30,000 people, more than fifty exhibiting companies, and the greatest line up of geek music ever assembled under one roof. Plus everything else you expect from PAX like Console free play, arcade machines, a huge Lan Party, panels with industry pros, the Omegathon and a ton of other shit I can’t think of right now. There’s just no other way to say it, this show is going to be fucking nuts.”
