Persona 3 Portable Persona 4 Golden Persona 5 Royal Nintendo Switch Atlus announcement trailer release date P3P P4G P5R Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase

At the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, Atlus finally confirmed that Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal are coming to Nintendo Switch. Leaks as far back as December 2021 had claimed that at least 3 Portable and 4 Golden were coming to the platform, and now it is finally official. This news follows from the announcements earlier this month that Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal are headed to Xbox, Xbox Game Pass, Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam.

Persona 5 Royal is headed to all of its announced platforms on October 21, 2022. Persona 3 Portable and 4 Golden are still “coming soon.” Till now, the only Persona games available on Nintendo Switch have been Persona 5 Strikers and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. The former is an action RPG developed by Omega Force that serves as a direct sequel to the events of Persona 5, while the latter is a fighting game from Arc System Works that continues the stories of Persona 3 and 4.

Atlus is currently developing Persona 6, but the core team that developed the three previous mainline entries is actually working on a different, new RPG IP, Project Re Fantasy. It’s anyone’s guess when or if either of those games will come to a Nintendo platform. But for now, it’s good enough to know that Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal are finally headed to Nintendo Switch.
