Planet of Lana, a story-driven indie game with a painting-like art style, just got an official reveal trailer. Coming to PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S in late 2022, this cinematic puzzle platformer comes from Wishfully Studios and Thunderful Publishing. Wishfully has been hard at work on Planet of Lana, its debut title, for quite some time, with today’s footage coming courtesy of Summer Game Fest 2021. If its gameplay and story elements don’t entice you, then maybe its sci-fi setting and hand-painted art will. See what the indie title has to offer in the trailer below.
Planet of Lana follows Lana and her alien pet companion, Mui, as they adventure through the foreign world you see in the trailer. She’ll be on an adventure to save her sister, with dangerous machines, strange creatures, and more excitement to be found throughout this sidescrolling puzzler story. Visually, Planet of Lana will support 4K (2160p) at 60 FPS on high-end PCs and Xbox Series X. Thunderful and Wishfully will share more information in the coming months.
We spoke with Wishfully Studios about Planet of Lana all the way back in 2019. Creative Director and Lead Game Designer Adam Stjärnljus promised a beautiful indie cinematic platformer driven by its story.
