The June 2, 2022 PlayStation State of Play delivered a bunch of exciting third-party video games and PSVR 2 games, including a lot of games that are going to look outstanding on PlayStation 5 (PS5). The Resident Evil 4 remake was finally announced, in addition to confirmation at long last that Resident Evil Village will receive PSVR 2 support on PS5. Capcom further revealed the first gameplay of Street Fighter 6, including a new 3D single-player story mode. Final Fantasy XVI got new gameplay from Square Enix as well, narrowing its release window down to summer 2023. And that news is just for the Japanese games! - A Resident Evil 4 remake is headed to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC via Steam in March 2023, featuring modernized controls and a reimagined storyline. It will receive PSVR 2 content of some kind.
- Resident Evil Village will receive total PSVR 2 support. However, PSVR 2 itself does not have a price or release date yet.
- The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution has been announced for PSVR, PSVR 2, and PC VR.
- No Man’s Sky is in development for PSVR 2.
- Horizon Call of the Mountain revealed a longer look at its immersive, PSVR 2-exclusive gameplay.
- Free new content is available for Horizon Forbidden West, including New Game+.
- Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is coming to PC in August, and Miles Morales will follow this fall.
- Adorable futuristic cat-roaming adventure Stray is headed to PS4, PS5, and PC next month and will be offered for free through PlayStation Plus.
- Survival horror game The Callisto Protocol will terrorize PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC this December.
- Futuristic skater-shooter Rollerdrome arrives on PS4, PS5, and PC this August, from the OlliOlli World developer Roll7.
- Eternights is one part dating sim, one part anime action game, and it is headed to PS4, PS5, and PC in early 2023.
- Street Fighter 6 is headed to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC in 2023, containing hyper-realistic new graphics, an optional new control scheme that caters to beginners, and a 3D single-player story mode.
- Zelda-like hit indie adventure Tunic is headed to PS4 and PS5 on September 27.
- Exploration game Season: a Letter to the Future is coming to PS4, PS5, and PC in fall 2022.
- Final Fantasy XVI got a new PS5 trailer with a longer look at gameplay and story, along with a summer 2023 release window. The game is so heavy on action that it sometimes resembles a fighting game like Street Fighter more than Final Fantasy.
