Famitsu.com, the online arm of Japanese gaming magazine Weekly Famitsu, has announced pricing details on nine PS3 games.
The games listed range in price between 5,040 yen for Mah-Jong Taikai IV by KOEI and 8,190 yen for Armored Core 4 by From Software, which translates in U.S. currency to between $43 and $69. While the Japanese market can expect a broad range of prices, the titles listed at the Sony Style Store for the American market all list a pretty predictable $59.99 price point.
The move to discount a number of games in the Japanese market is not particularly surprising, particularly considering Sony’s recent announcement that the 20GB version of the PS3 will be roughly $70 cheaper in Japan, while the North American market would enjoy no such discount.
