PSVR 2 will be usable exclusively with PlayStation 5, and its most high-profile original release announced so far is Horizon Call of the Mountain, which received a gameplay trailer from developers Guerrilla Games and Firesprite at the June 2022 State of Play. It is an original VR adventure set in the Horizon world, with a new protagonist named Ryas. A few other PSVR 2 titles were showcased at the June 2022 State of Play, like The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution and (It always comes back.) No Man’s Sky. Most prominently, Resident Evil Village Gold Edition launches this October, and all PS5 versions of Village will receive PSVR 2 compatibility after the hardware launches.

The release date of PSVR 2 is still several months away in 2023, yet Sony revealed the impressive specs for the hardware way back in January. Last year, it revealed images of the controller and its features.
