As part of the ramp-up to its release, Activision has opened the official Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Community Site.
The site includes screenshots, news and articles, a developers’ blog, links to the official Quake Wars forums and more. Links to numerous fan sites around the world are also available.
Developed by Splash Damage in conjunction with id Software, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is the latest chapter in the Quake franchise and follows the story of the Earth-Stroggos war established in Quake 2 and Quake 4. The game is multiplayer-only, and while it is set in the science-fiction universe of Quake, it is technically the follow-up to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, a free multiplayer expansion for id’s Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is being released for the PC and Mac, as well as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. Both a standard and Collector’s Edition are being produced, and are expected to ship in summer 2007.
